Where and When Can I Get Vigil?
To answer that question, we'll ask another: How do you like your books?
If it's the hardcover you're looking for, the answer depends on where we are in the production cycle. Our printer requires six weeks to produce hardcovers and a week to ship them. We will usually post a note on the Vigil book page and the Vigil store page stating when the next order will be sent to the printer.
Paperbacks have a shorter cycle, at three weeks to print. At this writing, the paperbacks aren't available for general sale -- they're being produced for specific organizations. We will most likely start selling them in early 2018, around book festival season (April through July).
If neither of those options work for you, worry not -- the ebook is always available! Barnes & Noble, iBooks, and Kobo all have Vigil for sale, as do we here at our online store. Choose the option that's most convenient for you. For this cycle (December 2017 and January 2018) only, we have a special offer: If you order the hardcover but would like to read Vigil sooner, email us a screenshot of your purchase from B&N, iBooks, or Kobo, and we'll give you a code for $5 off to be used when you order the hardcover from us! (Or if you ordered a hardcover between November 16 and December 1, send us an email and we'll send you a copy of the Vigil ebook.)
As for where you'll find the book, the hardcover will be available in limited quantities at the following New Orleans bookstores in late January:
- Blue Cypress Books (8126 Oak Street)
- Garden District Book Shop (2727 Prytainia)
- Tubby & Coo's Mid-City Book Shop (631 N Carrollton)
A copy of Vigil has been sent to Barnes & Noble for placement in their brick-and-mortal stores. Their review process takes about three months, and placement takes at least an additional two months.
